Tech It Forward x Cartier Women’s Initiative Partnership

by Katy Diamond, Marketing Associate at Tech It Forward, in collaboration with Jennifer Elias, co-founder of Tech It Forward.

For the first time ever, Cartier is coming to the Startup Nation!

Tech It Forward is proud to partner with Cartier and launch the Cartier Women’s Initiative in Israel for the first time, as applications open for the 2023 edition. We are thrilled to be working alongside the French luxury brand on their prestigious annual international entrepreneurship program and look forward to scouting the best female led impact startups that Israel has to offer.

Through the Cartier Women’s Initiative, early-stage, for-profit enterprises aiming to solve the world’s most pressing social and environmental challenges are provided with financial, social, and human capital support. The initiative champions and empowers women impact entrepreneurs to grow their businesses and build their leadership skills; since its launch in 2006, the Cartier Women’s Initiative has supported 262 women impact-driven entrepreneurs from 62 countries and has awarded a total grant of $6,440,000 to support their businesses.

How Is Cartier transforming the business prospects of Israeli women impact entrepreneurs?

The first-place awardee will take home US $100,000 in grant, with no condition of equity, while the second- and third-place awardees will receive US $60,000 and US $30,000 respectively. All awardees will benefit from tailored mentoring and coaching, media visibility, networking opportunities and the in-person INSEAD Social Entrepreneurship Program and/or INSEAD Executive Education Program.

In order to extend opportunities to more impact businesses around the world and ensure the program evolves alongside new developments in their global ecosystem, the Cartier Women’s Initiative has created new Regional and Thematic Awards for its 2023 edition.

The Cartier Women’s Initiative is looking for women-run and women-owned impact-driven businesses. Entrepreneurs across all sectors and geographies are encouraged to apply.

This award is particularly relevant to the Startup Nation, given that it recognizes women impact entrepreneurs at the forefront of scientific and technological innovation. This category is aimed towards businesses designing disruptive solutions that are built around unique, protected or hard-to- reproduce technological or scientific advances.

The top three applicants of each award will be announced in April 2023, and the jury will select the first, second, and third-place awardees during the Cartier Women’s Initiative awards ceremony in May 2023.

How to apply

Applications are open from May 16 until June 30 for women-run and women-owned businesses with sustainable social and/or environmental impact goals. Submit your application through the Cartier Women’s Initiative website here:
